Strohberg Farm Inn

On presentation of the Munstercard:

During the summer months, the Barb family settles in the Ferme Auberge du Strohberg, located in the Massif du Petit-Ballon with a panoramic view of the Alsace plain. A family transhumance farm for 5 generations, it is one of the oldest in the Vosges massif. It welcomes hikers in a setting that smells of the mountains and marcaire traditions.

On order from 5 people at lunchtime: roast pork, roast veal, Pot au feu. In the evening, Munster coiffé. The meats served are raised on the farm. From the end of April to May 20 and from October 20 to November 11 open on weekends only.

The Strohberg has 50 hectares of pastures on rocky ground rich in fragrant herbs, and 3 hectares of forest - beech and fir. The activity of the summer farms preserves the environment by maintaining the existence of open spaces in the Vosges massif.

About forty cattle make up the livestock. About ten pigs are raised each season for the needs of the inn: country bacon, raw ham and pig's head will garnish the plates of the guests.
