Munster Valley Tourist Office

It's partly thanks to them that you're walking here. Vosges Club of the Munster Valley, they are passionate volunteers who mark out, maintain and share hundreds of kilometers of trails across the massif.

But it is also a spirit of transmission: that of a mountain lived, loved, respected.
By joining one of their hikes, you'll be walking alongside enthusiasts who know where to put their feet, when to look up, and how to spot a wild orchid or a deer print.

Each outing is an opportunity to discover a lesser-known corner., a local story, a new look at nature.

And above all, to do it together.

Our Activities

2024 was a special year, with rainy weather and a heatwave in August sometimes putting off hikers. Across our 470 km of trails, our work teams had to work tirelessly to clear trees that had fallen during storms and dig through trails eroded by the weather. Despite this, nearly 3000 hikers and Nordic walkers participated in the outings led by our guides. The trail opening, the mountain festival, the Nordic walking festival, and the second edition of the pink walk were all a great success. The volunteers at the Erichson chalet served more than 9 hikers, and an extension to the chalet is planned for the end of 000.

Our program of hikes 2025 is available on the page "Hiking". At the request of our members, we have also planned SOFT WALKS rated at 1/5 difficulty to allow everyone to enjoy our magnificent landscapes, but you will find hikes for all levels from 1 to 5/5 and not only in the Munster Valley. Bring good shoes, water (or a thermos in cold weather), warm clothes and rain gear in case of bad weather... and a snack from your backpack for day hikes. Happy hiking!
